*Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.*

Looking into marriage, one of the most important things the entire world considers,  and especially the church, is counselling. It is believed that the counsel you're given gives you a fore knowledge of some basic things on what to expect in this lifetime decision- Marriage. It addresses what to know, what to do, and how to go about many things in marriage as and when something arises. It also deals with strength and understanding.

*Counsel is something that moves into the decisions of life. It addresses the possible successes and failures of it.* It is important to appreciate and take heed to good counsel especially in your relationships. What I've noticed is counselling can reposition two people to start thinking as one, and that is Powerful. *READ BOOKS! S.I.M.* Read books of men who are succeeding in marriage. But understand that although these books are good and counsels you well, *The Counsel of The Lord's Will for your life should be the priority of your decisions.*

One thing you should understand is some people counsel only by their experiences. Others by wisdom. But whatever the case might be, The wisdom of the counsel should be the principal thing. You should not take all the experiences of men in life as counsel for "your personal life" because we are all different. The knowledge of experience can be wisdom. But wisdom is the Principal thing- not experience. *What will be the solution to your problem is the wisdom for the situation.*

*2.* Pray for Grace to be humble to good counsel.

*3.* Ask God to reposition you by His Spirit of Counsel

*4.* Ask God to raise an association of good counsel for your life, purpose and destiny.

*5.* Pray for wisdom. It is the only thing God gives liberally. Do this for the entire Ministry.

*6.* Pray for strength for yourselves and the entire Ministry. Pray for inner peace and peace for the Nation.

*And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.*

From Yesterday's message, we understood that *a greater part of your safety depends on the good counsel you choose.* Today we will look more into the Power of Counsel. We have seen how counsel established a man like Solomon in stabilised wealth, but on the other hand, served the head of John the baptist on a plate to the daughter of herodias. So we know counsel has the power to influence your success or destruction.

*The principle of counsel is that, " Every life must fulfil it's purpose; and everything must serve a purpose". This means counsel is not an option to be considered; it is a necessity to the meaning of life-Purpose.* There is a place for counsel in the life of every person. It is our duty to avail ourselves for God to lead us to the fulfilment of our purpose by the works of His Counsel.

From our main text, we understand that *Counsel puts you in the place of Leadership and influence.* In another aspect, counsel puts you in check and brings you to the place Discipline. In other words, Counsel Builds your Code of Discipline. You need Discipline, to fulfil your purpose on earth.

1 Chronicles 12:32 KJV

*And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.*

In the time of David at Ziglak, he had among his men Issachars, who understood the times and directed David prophetically. By their counsel they kept the king and his army in the commands of God. The king and his people were encouraged and comforted by The Spirit of The Issachars. The Issachars carried the prophetic mandate to direct the king and his army on where to invest their strength and resources, and also know what to do to ensure  safety and victory. In Proverbs 11:14, the Bible says where there is no counsel the people fall. *In other words defeat is inevitable in the absence of Counsel.* And in Proverbs 24:6 KJV, the Word says..

*For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.*

Counsel is powerful enough to teach you where to invest your strength and resources. The wisdom of this is the principal thing. Counsel brings you to the place of good success, Victory and prosperity. Counsel creates liberty and establishes you in your purposes. You will only prevail by the counsel of God you've heeded to.

The extent to which you take counsel partly determines the limit of your success. But note this; your purpose only stands by the correct counsel you choose.

*Scripture Reading:* 1Chron.12:32, Matthew 14:1-12, 1Kings 18:4-19.

*Main Text*

1 Kings 18:4a KJV

*For it was so , when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord,..."*

The spirit of Jezebel was also a spirit that counselled kings against prophets. This was the only spirit that could make the prophet Elijah flee. Jezebel counselled that the prophets of God be killed by beheading. *And she, being the wife of the king Ahab* had so much influence in his decision to undertake her counsel. This kind of Counsel attacks the propagation of the Kingdom of God itself. It is one of the most dangerous counsels ever experienced and battled with.

*Counsel can travel into many years just to accomplish its purpose.* For every season and time, there is a counsel that reigns and the people of that time are marked for it, descending into the generations until it's altered. According to Ephesians 1:11, God works all things according to The Counsel of His Will. And it was in the counsel of God, that kingship will never leave the house of David(1Kings 2:45), upon whose throne our Lord Jesus Christ reigns now(luke1:32). The influence of God's counsel is so great, that even the current prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, is of the seed of David.

But on the other hand, the counsel of Jezebel that caused the beheading of the prophets followed Elijah into the new testament Bible. John the Baptist, whom Jesus Christ said in Matthew 11:14 "...if you can take it, this was Elijah to come...", had the same counsel against him when he was imprisoned. He was beheaded! And his head was delivered to the king's daughter at the *counsel of her mother- the kings wife.*

There are trans generational counsels that are either fighting us or blessing us. Such counsel is even evident in our present day life. We have to Discern (through the times of our forefathers) and deal with any negative counsel against our lives. Deploy the Power of God to deal with it and work it out in our Favour.

*3.* Pray that all counsels will work together for your Good, according to The Lord's counsel

*4.* Pray that any spirit of Jezebel operating to destroy government of the Church will be terminated, no matter the counsel of the enemy against us.

*5.* Let The Lord deliver His Church from the spirit of Jezebel and its counsels.

*Scripture Reading:* 1Chron.12:32, 2Samuel 15:31-34

*Main Text*

2 Samuel 15:31 KJV

*And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Lord , I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.*

In 2Sam.15:31-34, it is recorded that Ahithophel was the counsellor of The King-David. Considering how powerful the reign and victories of David were, we can draw conclusions that Ahithophel's counsel was indeed powerful, influential and very great. But David's son-Absalom, took counsel with Ahithophel against his father David. And the verse 12 of 2Sam.15 says conspiracy was very Great. Thus the counsel of Ahithophel greatly influenced A son to turn against His Father- A KING, to take his Kingdom.

In today's Christianity, we have a lot of Absaloms and Ahithophels conspiring against Fathers and Pastors, influencing sons, daughters, relatives, friends, brothers and sisters, to break away. These Ahithophels bring about divisions in the body of Christ (Ministries) and families. The dangerous thing is, their counsel doesn't seem too negative, so Beware! Absalom stood at the entrance of the gates and made himself preferred above his father to the people of Israel. He brainwashed them and turned them against the judgments of his Father David- The King. This counsel, turned the hearts of Israel against David their King, such that, they believed it was in the counsel of The Lord to have David overthrown by his son Absalom.

But David and his men went before God in Prayer, and God raised a friend of David called Hushai into the Council of Absalom. And he counselled against the counsel of Ahithophel. At the end of it all, the outcome of the counsel of Ahithophel caused him to commit suicide. It was in the Counsel of God to honor the prayer of David that said.. "Lord, Turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.." And This Stood!

One thing to be noted over here is, *it is The Counsel of The Lord That Stands. But the presence of an Ahithophel can divide kingdoms. Beware of them and refrain from them.*

*3.* Pray against any counsel that is meant to destroy you. Any conspiracy against your life.

*4.* Pray against the spirit of Ahithophel in any area of your life and ministry. Let The Counsel of God overpower its influence. Let them become foolishness.

*5.* Pray against any form of counsel against this ministry, and let any Ahithophel and Absalom anywhere be confounded in shame and destruction by the Power of God.

*Key Point*

*Don't underestimate the counsel that can turn you against your Father and what he does. It can terminate you and your connections to the covenant.*

Proverbs 15:22 KJV

*Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.*

Yesterday, we realised from 2 Chronicles 22:1-12 that, the reason why a man reigned as king for *only one year* in *42 years* of his life is why you should be careful of the counsel you receive. Ataliah was the mother of king Ahaziah, who reigned after the death of his father Jehoram, king of Judah. But as the counsel of Ataliah ended the reign of Jehoram, so did it end the reign of his son Ahaziah, because he made his mother his counsellor. He reigned as king for *only one(1) year* and died.

2 Chronicles 22:3 KJV

*He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly.*

*You should discern by The Spirit of Counsel to know good and evil counsel. Good Counsel establishes purposes!*

Wherever you are elevated to in life, check the Counsel that brought you there, and check the Counsel that reigns in that next level. Your parents can be the enemy of your next level. Beware of the counsel you're receiving. The new people you meet will also in one way or the other influence your decisions in life, but discern all Counsel.

*The Counsel you often take is not the counsel from afar; it is the Counsel from within!* For whatever you are now, a greater part of you is the product of the counsel you have received and acted on. It could either be from your personal ideas, family, friends or personal connections to trusted advisers. But note this, that what will build and establish you is The Counsel of The Lord's Will. *Your Purpose and it's fulfilment really depends on following the Counsel of The Lord diligently.*

Ephesians 1:11 KJV

*In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:*

According to our main text, the Counsel of The Lord is what stands. *This Counsel happens to be the collection of the "Minds of God" in reaching a decision over a matter.* I personally believe that It is *also* for this reason that God has established 24 people who's names are not recorded in the Bible, but are called the *Elders of Heaven.*

God works all things after The Counsel of His Will, which holds the answer to every purpose on Earth.

Great men surround themselves with counsellors. Counsel is necessary to established your purpose in life.

Proverbs 15:22 KJV

*Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.*

The foundation of Solomon's Glory was based on the good counsellors and the great counsel he had, having understood that wisdom is indeed profitable to the wise. It is wisdom to accept that you need good Counsel!

A counsellor carries what it takes to influence your decision into prosperity or destruction.

Counsel also means Advise. The advises you receive from everyone matters a lot. These Advises or Counsels can either make you or unmake you.

In 2 Chronicles 22:1-15, the reason why a man reigned as king for *only one year* in *42 years* of his life is why you should be careful of the counsel you receive. *Remove Ataliah!, before she counsels you into an unexpected end.*

*Topic:* The Secrets of God.

*Scripture:* Exodus 3

*Main Verse*

Proverbs 3:32 KJV

*For the froward is abomination to the Lord : but his secret is with the righteous.*

The secrets of every kingdom, company or group is what holds it and makes it influential.

My Mother In The Lord (of blessed memory) used to say something... *" No one is so special before God, depending on your relationship or intimacy with Him."* The closer you get, the more you see and know. The people afar off see secrets. You see treasures.

Your vision gets strengthened or changes as you discover the hidden treasures in The Secrets of God. *Righteousness is key to possessing The Secrets of God.* This also means the Secrets of God Require a Covenant and an Attitude. A covenant breaking and froward or difficult heart is definitely not the type the Secrets of God will be revealed to. In Exodus 3, we saw how Moses related with God and The Secrets he possessed as a result of that Intimacy he started cultivating with God.

*The treasures in the Secrets of God are discovered under the conditions of righteousness.* These secrets carry enough Power to make and unmake things. They are treasured and so valuable to God, that they are protected by some virtues of God. We need to come to that place of intimacy with God where His Secrets will become our Discovered Treasures.

Let Righteousness cause you to possess The Secrets of God and Let Purity, reveal the undoubted point of such intimacy with God in Person.

*2.* Ask God for more Grace to walk diligently with Him, that you will get to possess His Secrets.

*3.* Ask God to change your heart. Ask Him to give you a heart He can relate best with. A heart that can cultivate the best Friendship with Him.

*4.* Pray for the Ministry as a whole. Let it be the kind that Possesses The Secrets of God. Let it be One that God can freely relate with in His Dwelling with us.

*5.* Ask God to spare and secure the lives of each and every member of This Ministry and our loved ones.

*Scripture Reading:* 1Chron.12:32, 2 kings 7:1-20.

*Main Text*

Deuteronomy 33:19

*They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer sacrifices of righteousness; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand.*

From our previous message, we realised that we have a call to summon men unto God, and to feast on abundance, discover and possess treasures that will help us fulfil our assignment.

Apart from The Spirit and Power to Summon men unto God, we also possess The Power to discover hidden treasures. *The hidden treasures are for us to possess. We Carry a Spirit that locates them.* 

The phrase "hidden treasures" means it is not meant for everyone to discover and possess, but those who have assignments that will use these hidden treasures as it's resources. You carry The Spirit of Discovery. It is the duty of every member of this ministry to find wealth to do and support the ministry, because we carry a spirit that locates and possesses wealth.

If four lepers could gather faith, enough to drive out an enemy from their own dwelling place, and discover abundance of food and wealth, capable of changing the financial status of an entire country, then we have no option than to also develop enough Faith (with works) to discover and possess whatever God has for us. (2 Kings 7:1-20)

*I Prophesy, that you shall discover and possess wealth; wealth ordained by God for you and what He has called you to do. Wealth from ideas, your businesses, work, every venture and places The Lord will lead you to. By the Spirit of Discovery you shall locate wealth, and by The Power you shall Possess them, In The Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.*

*1.* Thank God for The Spirit of The Issachars and The Spirit of Discovery.

*2.* Pray Through the Prophecies over your wealth. Ask God for directions and more Grace to possess what He has for you.

*3.* Pray against any attack of the enemy against any member of this ministry. (Use Isaiah 8:9&10, and Isaiah 59:19.)

*4.* Pray for The Sons of Issachar Ministry. Let God cause us to increase in Wealth, Wisdom and Power.

*Main Text*

Deuteronomy 33:19

*They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer sacrifices of righteousness; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand.*

The verse above is a clear Prophetic word and description of who the Issachars are or should be. It also states out the commission and assignments of the Issachars. A Summoning Power has been given to The Issachars, that the Spirit of Righteousness can reign through the purpose of the Issachars. This also speaks of the culture and lifestyle of the Issachars, pursuing the kingdom of God and it's righteousness(Matthew 6:33). 

With Matthew 6:33 confirming Deuteronomy 33:19 in this light, we can be sure of one thing, that *God never leaves The Called in Lack.*

God has made provision in abundance for the work He has assigned us to do. From our main text, where and what we shall feast on, and strategic domains of our wealth has been uncovered to us, although they're not the only places and things God has blessed us with. So Any good thing that moves in and on the seas will reach us in abundance to support His work. The Power to discover, possess and receive hidden treasures to support the work has also been given. In short, God has established wealth for the propagation of His Kingdom.

*Scripture Reading:* Deuteronomy 33:18-19

*Main Text*

*And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.*

In the past few days of our fast, we have looked at some few responsibilities of the Issachars with respect to the times, seasons and the Body of Christ, in leadership. *This is because the Spirit of The Issachars Keep one mind with God.*

Today we will look at further responsibilities of The Issachars as commanded by God in His Word.

Deuteronomy 33:19

*They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer sacrifices of righteousness; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand."*

The Spirit of The Issachars focuses on summoning people into the House of God. The Issachars are mandated mobilisers and organisers for the sacrifices of Righteousness. *This is a Spirit that Seeks and Portrays Godliness and Holiness, which is our Core value and Way of life.*

In summoning the people, the ministry of The Issachars focuses on two major aspects - *Reawakening and Mission Exploits.* The Reawakening focuses on organising summits, conferences and concerts whiles the Mission Exploits deal with Evangelism, Outreaches and Church Propagation. And from our previous fast, it is evident, that *The Spirit of The Issachars is one with The Spirit of Christ.*

*1.* Thank God for The Spirit of The Issachars

*2.* Thank God for The Call and Power to Summon men unto God.

*3.* Ask God for Grace to carry out and fulfil the assignment of organising and mobilising people unto God.

*4.* Pray for more Grace and Strength to carry on with the fast and the work that comes with it. *You have been called to work with the Power in you.*

*5.* Ask God to help you manifest in your callings to help in the propagation and expansion of this Ministry.

*From Deuteronomy 33:19, one thing is sure; and it's that God makes provision for the Call.*

*Main Text*

1 Chronicles 12:32 KJV

*And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.*

Understanding The Sprit of The Issachars, one of the major things we have established is the Grace to operate in the Prophetic.

Dwelling on The call to lead and direct the Body of Christ, we can conclude that The Spirit of The Issachars is the Spirit of Leadership. 

The Body of Christ is most important to God on earth, just as Israel of old was to God. *(Israel and The Body of Christ represent one thing - The People of God).* So God chose some people to know what His People should do. In other words, God raised men He chose to reveal His Plans concerning Israel to, and what they ought to do- The Issachars. 

Romans 8:27 KJV

*And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.*

In today's Israel(The Body of Christ), God has raised and is still raising men who have all the Four Sights and the Seven Spirits of God, to determine and Speak the Will of God on what The Church must do. In these is one of the major ways to know the will of God, which is to search the hearts to know the mind of the Spirit, who makes intercession for the saints According to The WILL of God.(ROM.8:27)

*1.* Thank God for The Spirit of The Issachars and The Spirit of Leadership.

*2.* As we wait on God, ask God for Grace and Strength to focus and receive all that He has for you.

*3.* During the *Fast* of Jesus in Matthew 4:4, Jesus said,.. *"...It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."* This means the Fasting Period is a Greater Opportunity to Receive *The Word of God Proceeding from His Mouth.* Let God Speak to you audibly on His word as you fast.
